“I have been working with Dr. Kurt Whitaker for about 6 months now and I am happy to report that I am well on my way to achieving my long-term goals. My main concern is not to be burden to my family as I get older. Dr. Whitaker has made some very doable suggestions on how I can achieve that goal. He did DNA testing and blood work and then told me what I needed to do at this stage in my life (retirement) to achieve that goal. He told me how to exercise right, eat right, what supplements would be useful for me and things I can do to stave off future maladies. Dr. Whitaker is easy to work with and listens to all my questions and answers them thoughtfully.” - P.W.

“I thought I was doing everything right. A clean diet. An avid bike rider. Regular workouts. Yet year after year certain markers like my bad cholesterol and hemoglobin A1c in my bloodwork were creeping up to above-normal levels. My weight was also slowly creeping up no matter what I tried.

After working with Rise, we were able to identify simple tweaks to my nutrition and workout program that got me the results I had been seeking for years. I feel great, I’m stronger on the bike, and my bloodwork is right where it needs to be. And I lost the weight that was creeping on, without feeling like I was on a diet.

To be honest, I thought I just needed to accept that I was getting older and my body was changing. Not true! With Rise, you build out a plan that is tailored to your goals and sets you up to succeed. It’s an investment in your health and wellness that really pays off.” - S.M.

“I found Dr. Whitaker by way of Andrew Huberman and Peter Attia. I’ve become an inveterate consumer of the podcasts and publications from Huberman Labs and The Drive. I was fascinated by all of the different protocols, all of the different “best practices,” all of the different tweaks that one could make to improve one’s daily life. But I didn’t know which ones would really work for me. And, at the time, I was injured, in a bad mental place after a tough year at work, and frustrated as I got softer, slower, and less sure of what I needed to do as I aged. I just had so many questions! I wanted to know what diet is actually best for me? What kind of exercise should I be doing in my early 40s? Just how horrible is my cardiac risk given my family’s history of heart disease? What supplements actually work? What the hell is ApoB and why are these science guys talking about it all the time? Neither Huberman nor Attia are local (and probably out of my price range even if they were), so I didn’t know how to get answers. Then, out of nowhere, my wife found Dr. Whitaker’s website and sent it to me. Two days later, I was a client. And since then, Dr. W has answered all of my questions. To be clear: I do literally mean that he has answered ALL of my questions. And whenever I have new ones, he makes times to answer those.

There’s a process: it’s a deep dive into bloodwork, blood glucose, lifestyle, DNA, exercise, all of it. But the information gathered isn’t just dumped on you; Dr. Whitaker creates a “How To Live” manual, tailored to you and your unique body that is simultaneously thorough, approachable, and immediately actionable. And he makes himself available, for as much time as you need, to go through it with you. I’ve since re-read mine four times and discovered something new and helpful every single time. Dr. Whitaker provides tips and tricks for things like which supplements are not only ones you should be taking but where to find them at the best price. He will work with you to design workout structures, even answering detailed questions about whether it’s better to follow a Zone 2 workout with sprint intervals or strength training when you’re crunched for time. (Answer: sprint intervals.) He’ll help with what foods to eat AND when. He’ll explain what your continuous glucose monitor means and, if you’re like me and now crave the data that it provides, prescribe more of them. He literally creates the cheat sheet for you, about you, to guide you, and he’ll help with the hardest part: making the changes stick.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Whitaker and Rise. The price tag is unbelievable for what you get: concierge longevity medicine, from an Ivy League-trained doctor, using the most up-to-date research available. And with the proof being, as they say, in the pudding, I delayed writing this for several months after beginning to work with Dr. Whitaker so that I had time to see if it works. It does. I’m back. I’m not broken. I’m fitter and stronger than I’ve been in years. My psyche and sleep are improving. I have so much more knowledge, so much confidence in what I’m doing and how it will affect not just tomorrow’s workout(s) but my health span. The money I’ve spent to join Rise might be the best bang for the buck return I’ve ever gotten on anything health-, fitness-, medicine-, or lifestyle-related. Again, I simply cannot say enough great things about Dr. W and Rise.” - J.D.

“I have been working with Rise Precision Medicine for 3 months and have experienced a marked increase in my physical and emotional health. It is the most comprehensive healthcare experience I have ever had. My doctor has taken the time to really get to know me, understand my goals, and make targeted, realistic recommendations to improve my health. I started working with Rise Precision Medicine when I was 6 months postpartum and was not in a healthy place physically or emotionally. My doctor took that into consideration and the fact that I have 2 young children, a full-time job, and very little “free” time.  He got creative and came up with a plan based on my genetics, labs, and glucose monitoring results that fits my lifestyle and did not feel overwhelming. Since I have implemented the plan, I have lost weight, I have more energy, I am stronger, and I am sleeping better. I have much more confidence in my food choices, exercise, etc, knowing that they are tailored to me. Thank you Rise Precision Medicine!” - R.T.

“I was one of the first patients with Rise Precision Medicine in the spring of 2023 and thought it might be helpful to share my very positive experience working with Dr. Whitaker.

I am like many folks who have been very fit and healthy but had slid into some unhealthy patterns with inconsistent eating and exercise during the pandemic. I also knew, as my father had early onset Alzheimer’s, I had some potentially scary genetic predispositions.

I had never had my DNA sequenced primarily because there was no known ‘cure’ for Alzheimer's and I thought what good is knowing if I cannot do anything to stop it. Dr. Whitaker directed me to the book, The End of Alzheimer's Program by Dale Bredesen and I saw that there are ways to help hedge your bets if you do have the genetic predisposition to this and other potential diseases.

Based on my DNA we discovered that weight training and anaerobic exercise were preferable, ironic since my whole life I had done long-distance cycling, running and aerobic exercise and very little weight training. It also uncovered a predisposition to insulin resistance and when my blood work came back my A1C was over the recommended 5.5 (5.8) for the first time in my life.  It was time to change my behavior with food and exercise in a permanent, sustainable way.

At Dr. Whitaker’s recommendation, I started eating my protein first, limiting my carb intake to focus on complex carbohydrates, incorporating strength training into my workouts, and taking a couple of supplements.  I started using a personal training studio for the two or three times-a-week workout and adjusted my eating with the most significant being increasing my protein intake. I wore a continuous glucose monitor and started doing exercise ‘snacks’ in the middle of the day in addition to my walking.

Within 6 months I had reduced my A1C to 5.5, lost 10 inches and over 20 pounds while increasing my muscle mass. My bloodwork improved significantly, and I feel better than I have in quite a while. I have had little difficulty keeping the momentum with exercise and only fell off in my eating over the holidays slightly (up 1 pound in my last weigh-in). I highly recommend using Rise Precision Medicine if you want to improve your performance or, if you are like me, get back into a healthy place.” - C.
